Martin Benitez Jr., 37, of 46 Crown St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding and dismissed upon payment of fees and assessments totaling $100. He was found to be not responsible for a charge of operating motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker or for a motor vehicle lights violation.
John W. Abbott, 47, of 42 Arnold St., was released on $1,000 personal surety pending a March 2 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon on a person older than 60 years-of-age and assault and battery with injury on a person older than 60 years-of-age brought by Westfield police.
Heather L. Reed, 28, of 27 B. Main St., Chester, was released on her personal recognizance pending a March 5 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle brought by State Police. In a second case also brought by State Police, Reed was again released on her personal recognizance pending a March 5 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt.
