Brandon L. White, 22, of 374 Western Ave., was released on his personal recognizance pending a May 8 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest brought by Westfield police.
Benjamin Serrano Jr., 41, of 152 High St., Holyoke, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor, trespass and assault and battery on a public employee brought by Westfield police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for six months. He was assessed $50.
Barbara E. Hannah, 32, of 18 Mansfield St., Springfield, saw a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member brought by Westfield police dismissed at the request of the named victim when he asserted his Fifth Amendment rights and refused to testify.
