Shakye Gaskins, 27, of 11 Clark St., 2nd. Flr., Westfield, was held pending a dangerousness healing after he was arraigned on two charges of possession of ammunition without a Firearms Identification Card, two charges of possession of a large capacity firearm and single charges of possession of a firearm without a Firearms Identification Card, distribution of a Class D drug, possession of a Class C drug with intent to distribute and possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute. Justina C. Manarite, 32, of 110 Brookside Lane, Pawcatuck, Conn., was released on her personal recognizance pending a June 30 hearing after she was arraigned on a charge of larceny of property valued less than $1,200 brought by Westfield police.
Mitchell E. Prest, 30, of 28 Parker Ave., Westfield, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $50 and his license was suspended for 90 days. Charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating motor vehicle with a suspended license were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth and he was found to be not responsible for a state highway traffic violation.
Chris A. Melbourne, 57, of 868 Southampton Road, Apt., 46, Westfield, was released on his personal recognizance (with pretrial conditions) pending a June 30 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member brought by Westfield police.
Jeffrey L. Arps, 55, of 24 Park River Circle, Westfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending a July 8 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police.
