Bhikhabhai C. Patel, 54, of 17 Kaolin Road, Blandford, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of sale of less than 12,000 unstamped cigarettes and possession of less than 12,000 unstamped cigarettes brought by Westfield police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for six months but dismissed upon payment of court cost in the amount of $5,000. A charge of tax evasion was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. See story in the Sept. 13 edition of The Westfield News.
Katie Sealey, 19, 16 Wakefield St., Webster, was released on her personal recognizance pending a Dec. 2 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor, a marked lanes violation and a motor vehicle lights violation brought by Westfield State University police.
Deborah J. Hess, 58, of 15 River St., Apt. 9, Russell, was released on her personal recognizance pending a Dec. 2 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of leaving the scene of property damage and negligent operation of a motor vehicle brought by State Police.
