SOUTHWICK – D. Michael Shiveley, 68, (1948-2016) passed away on October 13, 2016. Born on July 16, 1948 in Auburn, Nebraska to the late Ward R. and Bonita V. (Jewett) Shiveley, he grew up on Congamond Lake where he enjoyed barefoot waterskiing with his family. He also enjoyed NASCAR. For several years, he had worked at Kaman Aircraft in CT. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Ward and Robert Shiveley, sister- in-law Claire Shiveley and nephew Robert Shiveley. He leaves his daughter Beth Pratt and her husband Jeffrey of Westfield; grandchildren Nicholas and Jessie Elizabeth Pratt who he was very proud of; his former wife Patricia Martin of Westfield; brother Patrick Shiveley and his wife Annie of Southwick; sister-in-law Shirley Nelson of Windsor Locks, CT; nephews Brian, Todd, Scott and Kevin; nieces Karen, Mechelle, and Cyndee; his pet bird Max and many friends at the Southwick VFW Post 872. Family and friends may gather on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 3-6 PM at Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral & Cremation, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in New Cemetery.
