WESTFIELD – Daniel E. Fisher, 87, of Westfield died Monday, July 23, 2012 in Northampton. He was born in Easthampton on January 23, 1925, son of the late John and Katherine (Klaus) Fisher and had lived in Westfield for most of his life.
Daniel graduated from Westfield Trade School and was employed for many years by the former Stanley Home Products. Daniel was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Westfield, American Legion Post 124 and the Westfield Elks Club.
He was the widower of Ida J. (Macri) Fisher. They were married for over forty years. Daniel leaves a sister, Anna Jasmin of Wilbraham, four brothers, Frederick Fisher of Bremerton, Washington, Luther Fisher of Westfield, Raymond Fisher of Bourne, John Fisher of Blandford. He was predeceased by four sisters, Wilhelamna Fahey, Julia Jensen, Augusta Fay and Marlene Morgan and four brothers, William Fisher, Emil Fisher, Richard Fisher and Edward Fisher.
The funeral will be Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad St. Westfield, followed by committal prayers and Military Honors in the Mass Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 3:00 p.m. Calling hours are omitted.
