Daniel J. Aguda

FARMINGTON, MISSOURI:  Daniel J. Aguda, 71, died Sunday, March 20th, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO. He was born on November 29th, 1950, in Athol, MA to John and Margaret (Ferriago) Aguda. Daniel was a 1969 graduate of Mahar Regional High School, later attending Greenfield Community College. Daniel was employed at ASHS Kamp for Kids from 1986 until his retirement in 2012. He loved his job as a life counselor to Jack. He was Honorably Discharged, having served in the navy during the Vietnam Era. Dan was an avid skier and volunteered as an instructor for the Blind Ski Program at Mt. Tom for many years. He also proudly volunteered for the Huntington Disease Society, the Westfield Council on Aging Companion Program and was a member of The Knights of Columbus.

Daniel leaves his wife of 32 years, Francoise “Fran” Aguda, his siblings Leanne Stone of Orange, Michael Aguda of Monson, Anthony Aguda of Bluffton, S.C., Kathy Nagel of Holden, and Patrice Aguda-Brown of Keene, N.H.

Dan was predeceased by his brother Tim Aguda. He also leaves many dear friends including Danny Rowe and Chris Lorenzatti-English.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, in Westfield, MA from 4pm until 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday in St. Mary’s Church in Westfield at 9:30am. The Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA.
