SOUTHWICK – David E. Bogardus, 70, of Southwick, MA passed away, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at home. He was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary #872 in Southwick, MA and a member of the Teamsters Union. Most of his working years were spent as a truck driver. He was an avid and faithful fan of the New York Yankees, New England Patriots and NASCAR. He leaves behind a son, David Bryan, of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Dianna Lord and Danielle Moody of Hayesville, NC and a sister, Marion Ivey, of Simsbury, CT. He was predeceased by a son, David Alan, of Hayesville, NC.
According to his wishes, there will be no wake or funeral. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for David in April. Details will be forthcoming. Donations in David’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
