WESTFIELD – David F. Tabb, Sr., 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Springfield to the late William P. and Anna E. (McGee) Tabb. David worked as an equipment installer for many years for Verizon. He was a lifetime member of the Sons of Erin, Westfield and a patron of the Irish Cultural Center, West Springfield. He loved Irish music, visiting Ireland, and his Irish heritage. David was a Westfield Little League Baseball coach and also coached soccer. He enjoyed playing golf and hockey. Mostly, David loved his grandchildren and was a great story teller. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Joane L. (Wudyka) Tabb, his two loving children, David F. Tabb, Jr. with Jill McCormick of Holyoke and Carlin J. Tabb with D.J. Podolski of Westfield, his six cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Olivia, Maggie, Mara, Luna and Elliot and his two brothers, Jerome Tabb and his wife Shirley of Newton, NH and Owen “Donnie” Tabb with Nancy Curry of S. Dennis, MA.
Visiting hours for David will be held on Monday from 5-7PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. Funeral Mass and burial will be private. Donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Baystate Hospice, 30 Capital Dr. West Springfield, MA 01089. www.firtionadams.com
