CHICOPEE – 
Denise (Shaw) St George of Chicopee passed away on April 3, 2020 at home after her battle with cancer. Denise was born in Manchester, England on December 28, 1948. She moved to the United States in 1965 and resided in Westfield, Southampton and Chicopee.
Denise was very talented in her artwork and had multiple paintings hanging at the Westfield Athenaeum. She was an avid reader and had written a few short stories, one which was published by Readers Digest. Denise returned briefly to England and did some radio personality work for the BBC and she worked at Filmtech in Westfield for a few years before raising her children.
Denise leaves her spouse Ron St George of Chicopee, MA and 3 children, Deborah Park of Agawam, MA Tony Griswald of Agawam, MA and Angela Galikas of Bloomfield, CT. Denise was predeceased by her parents, Bill Shaw in 1974 and Gladys (Cooper) Shaw in 2004. Denise’s leaves behind a sister, Jeanne Aspinall of Westfield, MA and a brother, John Shaw of Raymond, New Hampshire. Denise also leaves behind 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
There will be a small private service at Brunelle’s Funeral Home in Chicopee on Thursday 04/09/2020, which will be closed to the public due to the current public health situation. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
