LEBANON, NH – Dennis Patrick Sliney, 63, passed away on February 16, 2013 in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The son of the late Richard Sliney and Ann Sliney Smith, he was born in Springfield, MA on May 2, 1949.
He attended the Springfield School system where upon graduating enlisted in the Marines. Dennis was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving four tours of duty. During his military service he was shot down twice in enemy territory. After 25 years of service he retired from the United State Marines. He then went on to work at Boeing Aircraft in MS for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa McKinzie-Herrera and her husband Joe and their children, Jaiden, Reigna, Carmine of Fort Worth, Texas; his brother, Daniel Ford of Penacook, NH; his sisters, Carol Morrison of Punta Gorda, FL, Martha (Marty) Baillargeon of Southwick MA; and many nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscowen, NH on Wednesday, June 19th at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors.
