Westfield – Diane Mary (Breau) Smith, 75 (1943-2018) passed away on June 24, 2018 after a long battle with Dementia. She was born in Waterford, NY to the late Oliver and Mary Breau. Diane was employed by Big Y Foods for 38 years, retiring in 2007. Diane loved doing crafts and making jewelry. She and her husband Jim spent many weeks throughout the year at flea markets selling antiques and many collectibles. She loved meeting people and striking up long conversations. She had a heart of gold! Diane and Jim also went on many vacations. Many times they would go with a large group of friends. Diane and Jim were very active in their church. Diane is survived by her husband James P. Smith of 35 years, her son Christopher and wife Christine Bennett of Texas. She also leaves her step children Bob Bellucci and wife Laurie of Springfield, Theresa McNulty and husband Joe of East Bridgewater, Jennie (Smith) Hebert of Old Orchard Beach Maine and Christie (Smith) Chamberland and husband Michael of Durham Maine along with 14 grandchildren. There will be a memorial service and celebration of life on Wednesday June 27th at 11:00 AM at The Bethany Assembly of God on Maine Street in Agawam followed by a reception.
