WESTFIELD-Donald F. “Tiger” Liptak, Sr, 82, of Westfield died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at home. He was born in Westfield on January 24, 1933 to Paul T. Sr. and Mary (Lacoma) Liptak. Donnie was employed as a lab technician with the space program at Hamilton Standard for thirty years. He was a Marine Corps Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Donnie enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Lake George Sportsman Club, Slovak Citizens Club. The American Legion Post 124 and the Westfield Elks Lodge. He was the widower of Jane B. (Thibeault) Liptak who died in 2006. Donnie leaves four sons, Donald F. Liptak Jr., and William Liptak and his wife Michele all of Westfield, Kevin Liptak and his wife Elisa of Tampa, FL. and Brian Liptak of South Yarmouth, one brother Jack Liptak of Westfield, six grandchildren Nicole, Amy, Eric, Brittany, Sydney, and Riley, four great -grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Paul Jr., Philip, and Joseph Liptak and a granddaughter Carly Liptak who died in 2010. His funeral will be held on Friday at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield at 11:45 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
