WEST SPRINGFIELD – Donna Marie Horrigan (1942-2022), passed away on September 11, 2022, surrounded by loving family after a brief illness. She was born to Vincent Desilets and Edna (Roy) Desilets in Holyoke, MA. She graduated from Precious Blood High School and received her nursing degree at Georgetown University. Her career included hospital nursing, physician office work, long-term care, and for many years managed her husband’s medical practice. She concluded her career as a visiting nurse for several years. While doing that, she was a loving mother to her four children and always enjoyed their baseball, soccer and gymnastics games. She also enjoyed traveling and cruises. She was an active member of St. Peter and Saint Casmir Parish, serving as a lector and on the Parish Council, as well as volunteering in the Parish Soup Kitchen.
She leaves Frank her loving husband of 58 years and four children: Dan and his wife Abby, John and his wife Dianne, Glen and his wife Christine and Leanne and her husband Fred, as well as nine grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 AM in St Peters Church, State St., Westfield. Burial will be held on Saturday, meeting at Firtion Adams Funeral Service at 10AM and traveling to Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. Visiting hours will precede the Mass from 9-10:30 AM in Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085.
