NORTH CAROLINA: Dorice Tingley Millard, 78, Of 3175 Short Rd, Hickory, NC passed away in her sleep at home from natural causes on Friday, January 1, 2021. She was always the life of the party, always with a big heart, larger than life and she was adored by all that ever had the pleasure of knowing her. She was Manager of the Employee Kitchen for Service Star for 15 years in Westfield, MA before moving to Davie, FL in 1998 then worked as an Assistant Manager at Dairy Queen for 15 years retiring in late 2013.
She was predeceased by both her Mother and Father of Maine, a brother Clyde and sister Beverly, her first Husband Ted Tingley, her second Husband Stewart Millard and son Robert Tingley. She is survived by 3 sisters, Shirley Bean of NH, Donna Shofield of VT and Vivian Head of SC. Her 2 sons, Leston (Paula) Tingley of Feeding Hills; Richard (Jodi) Tingley of Westfield; 2 daughters, Lisa Tingley (fiancé Ralph Brown) with whom she lived for the last 6 1/2 years in Hickory, NC and Laurie Matthews (Rob) of Westfield, MA. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Leanne (Robert deceased) Tingley. A step-son Douglas Millard of Plantation, FL; Tammy (Ron) Winter of Melbourne, FL and Bonnie Millard of Cape May Township, NJ. 10 Grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
