WESTFIELD – Doris E. (Prince) Tierney, 92, of Westfield died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Westfield on November 20, 1920 to Frank T. and Carrie (Brazee) Prince.
Doris was a 1938 graduate of Westfield High School and was employed as a machine operator for Old Colony Envelope for twenty-five years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Atonement in Westfield and a member of its St. Margaret’s Guild.
Doris was the widow of Richard W. Tierney who died on July 21st 2008. She leaves a son, Richard A. Tierney and his wife Francine of Southwick; two daughters, Linda J. Zielinski and her husband Chet of Westfield, and Joyce A. London and her husband Joe of South Burlington, VT. She also leaves four grandchildren, Matthew Zielinski, Marin Rovithis, Molly Terpos and Greg Tierney and three great grandchildren, Ella, Max and Riley. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall South in Agawam for their kind and loving care.
Funeral and internment will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are omitted.
