WESTFIELD: Doris M (Wingate) Bruneau, 88, (1927-2016) passed away Wednesday January 27, 2016 at the Governors Center in Westfield. Born in Westfield on February 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Harriet (Robbins) Wingate. Doris was raised in Woronoco and has been a resident of Westfield since 1950. She was a graduate of Westfield High School class of 1944. Doris was a 36 year employee at Stanley Home Products in Easthampton and Westfield, retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of St Peter and St Casimir Church. Doris was predeceased by her husband Armand R Bruneau in 1983; her 3 brothers, Walter Wingate, William Wingate, and Robert Wingate; and by one sister, Mary Washburn. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.Her family would like to thank the Governors Center and their staff for their care and support of Doris. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday February 2, 2016 at 10 am in St Peter and St Casimir Church, State St. Burial will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery, both in Westfield. There are no calling hours. The Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, Westfield, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
