SANFORD, ME: Dorothea R. Anderson, 87 of Sanford, Maine died October 23, 2015. She was born in West Hartford, CT, the daughter of William and Dora (Baedor) Rothammer. She attended schools there and graduated from Hall High School in 1945. She married Carl Anderson in 1947 and lived in Southwick for 46 years before moving to Sanford, ME.
In her youth, she studied piano and voice, was soprano soloist with her high school glee club and did personal appearances and radio work in the Hartford, CT area. She was also an accomplished water colorist. She was a life long member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was associated with the Sanford congregation.
She leaves her husband Carl, a son William of Gatineau Quebec, three daughters; Georgianna of George Town, Idaho, Carline of Sanford, ME and Hildegarde of Springvale, ME, seven grand children and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovas Witnesses in Sanford, ME on November 14, 2015. at 2:00pm.
