GRANVILLE: Dorothy “Dot” (Monczka) Goneau, 78, (1942-2020) passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Frances (Kuras) Monczka. Dot worked for the Buxton and Notion Thread Companies and as a dispatcher for the Police and Fire Departments in Granville and was a member of the Granville Ladies Auxiliary Fire Dept.
She leaves her beloved husband of 58 years, Wilfred “Chick” Goneau, her loving children, Michael (Mary) of Southwick and Susan (James) Tenerowicz of Granville, her beloved siblings, Alexander Monczka of Southwick, Irene Waniewski from FL and Joanne Campagnari from West Springfield, her loving grandchildren, Stephanie (Daniel), Brandon (Annalia), Elizabeth, Sierra (Dylan) and Mitchell, her special great-grandchildren, Isaac, Jonas and Emma and dear family friends, Tom and Della. She was predeceased by her brother William and her sister Alice Wojcik.
All services are private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
