SOUTHWICK – 
Dorothy (Reader) Mongeau, 95, passed away January 17, 2020 after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Aline (Fortier Murphy) Cleary. Dorothy was a bank teller at the former First National Bank where she met her husband of 55 years, the late Joseph (Brud/Joe) Mongeau. She lived in Westfield for 83 years and then moved to Southwick 12 years ago. Dorothy leaves her 3 children, Joanne Mongeau of Westfield, Donna (Mongeau) Webster of Northampton and John Mongeau (Toni) of Georgia and Wisconsin. She also leaves 4 grandchildren Evan Stoltz of Westfield, Brian Webster (Amy) of Hampden, Cee Webster (Pan) of Portland, OR and John Mongeau, Jr. of Barkhamsted, CT; and 2 great-grandchildren Georgia and Grace Webster of Hampden.
The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and caregivers at Genesis HealthCare Westfield Center for their extraordinary kindness and assistance as well as the staff at Assisted Living/American Inn who made each day a joy for her. Services will be private at her request. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy asked that donations be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
