Westfield-Edmond A. Garland, 71, died Friday, October 19, 2018 in Noble Hospital. He was born in Waterville, ME on July 15, 1947 to the late Peter and Jeanne (Marquis) Garland. He grew up in Groveton, N.H. and graduated from Groveton High School. He moved to Russell in 1979 and worked for Westfield River Paper Co. in Russell. He was a bartender at St. Rocco’s Club in Westfield. He was a custodian in Holyoke Public Schools and retired in 2016. He was a member of the Westfield Elks Club and was past president at St. Rocco’s. He loved traveling to St. Marten and enjoyed babysitting his furry friend Buddy. Edmond leaves his sister Sherry Dvorchak of Westfield, nieces and nephews Karna, Kiley, Toni Marie, Peter and Randy. His longtime friends Chris, Steve and Quinn. He was pre-deceased by his brother Peter Garland. A celebration of life will be held at St. Rocco’s Club, 300 Elm Street, Westfield on Sunday, October 28th from 2-6 p.m. Firtion-Adams is in charge of arrangements. Firtionadams.com
