Florida – Edna E. (Newfield) Pelkey, age 100, a native of Montgomery, MA passed peacefully at home in Florida on December 24, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1917 daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Anna (Harbert) Newfield of Montgomery. She was predeceased by a sister Grace C. and brother Harry Jr., a son John E. Prouty and granddaughter Johanna J. Hayden. She leaves two sons, Robert W. Prouty of Springfield and James H. Prouty of Costa Rica. Edna is survived by her daughter-in-law, Roseann Prouty. She leaves grandchildren, Lori L. Prouty of Florida, Cheryl A. Brown of Montgomery, James Prouty Jr, of Southampton, and Charlene Stober of CT. She leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her. A private burial service is to be held at a later date.
