WESTFIELD – Edward Joseph Graziano, 53, a resident of Westfield since 2000, and formerly a longtime resident of Springfield, died late Monday morning, September 30, 2013 at his residence. He was born and educated in Springfield, a son of Jean I. (Jakubiec) Graziano with whom he made his home, and the late Arnold C. Graziano.
Ed was formerly employed for many years with a local painting contractor from Chicopee, where they painted for many years in the Greater Springfield area. He enjoyed fishing, and recently spent many hours at Stanley Park where he would enjoy watching many of the local leagues and teams playing ball. Ed also was a very kind and gentle person, who graciously would offer a lending hand to those in need. He also was a good friend of Bill W.
Besides his loving and devoted mother he leaves a wonderful daughter, Angelica I. Graziano of Belchertown; his sister, Carla J. Hoctor and her husband Craig and his brother, A. Scott Graziano and his wife Amy all of Westfield; an uncle, Joseph Graziano and his longtime companion Jane Colson of Springfield; two aunts, Shirley Ann Theres and her husband James of Springfield, and Judith Jakubiec of Feeding Hills; as well as 2 nephews, Antonio and Thomas and 3 nieces, Danielle, Jessica and Nicoletta.
His funeral will be held on Friday, October 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, with burial to follow at New Cemetery, 354 College Highway, both in Southwick.
