ADAMS – 
Elaine P. Barry, 84, of 9 Woods Dr., Passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Westfield, MA on October 2, 1939, daughter of the late Edmond and Mary P. Garvey Powers she was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Westfield and also attended Fisher Junior College. Elaine was a homemaker and also a part time secretary most of her life. She was a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams. Elaine was a life long Boston Red Sox fan and a dedicated New England Patriots and Tom Brady fan. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband John “ Jack “ Barry, who she married on October 27, 1956, celebrating sixty two years of marriage. Three daughters, Elizabeth Durant and her husband Michael of Adams, Kathleen Smith and her husband Jerry of Surfside Beach, SC, Lynn Morris of Adams. A son, John E. Barry Jr. of Adams, a sister, Sarah Nordin and her husband Phil of Vallejo, California. Ten loved grandchildren, Joshua Morris, Allison Morris, Kate Morris, Cody Morris, Michael Durant(Sara), Marty Durant(Andrea), Matthew Durant(Jill), Heather Witek (Matt), Meghan Smith, and Nicholas Smith. Twelve loved and adored great grandchildren, Christopher, Matt, Zack, Kay, Michael, Brayden, Carson, Camden, Teagan, Rylynn, Matt, and Gianna. A sister in law, Barbara Powers. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Powers.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Elaine will take place Friday, February 1, 2019 at 12PM in Notre Dame Church in Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Steven G. Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours at the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams 01220 will be Friday from 9:30AM until the service. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals in care of the funeral home.
