WESTFIELD – Elaine S. (Cerveny) Kelley, 95, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Governor’s Center in Westfield. She was born in Holyoke, Mass. to the late Edward and Paulina (Tolpa) Cerveny, was a 1939 graduate of Westfield High School and received a Business Certificate from Westfield Commercial School. Elaine was employed as a secretary for Westfield Schools for over 20 years retiring in 1984. She also worked in the vocational school and the superintendent’s office for 13 years and for Stanley Home Products as a clerk and secretary for 5 years. Elaine also volunteered for the Red Cross and the Noble Hospital Gift Shop. Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband Francis J. Kelley in 1991 and is survived by her three loving children, John “Jack” E. Kelley and his wife Christine of Westfield, Robert F. Kelley and his late wife Catherine of Westfield, and Joellyn Osowski and her husband Mike Douthwright of Westfield, her brother, Edward Cerveny and his wife Eva of Key Largo, Fla., one sister Janet O’Brien and her late husband George of Westfield She also leaves her 6 cherished grandchildren, Sharon Czarnecki, Brian Kelley, Kimberly Dewey, Christopher Kelley, Deborah Hardie and Jennifer Kuzniar and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister Natalie Atwood in 2015. The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Armbrook Village and the Governor’s Center for the excellent care that our mom was given. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday at 12 noon in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the service from 10:30 a.m. till noon on Monday in the funeral home. Contributions in Elaine’s name may be made to Stanley Park, 400 Western Avenue, Westfield, MA 01085.
