WESTFIELD – Eleanor M. (Dionne) Tinney, 87, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Noble Hospital. Born in Landoff, NH, she was a resident of Westfield for over 60 years.
Eleanor was a communicant of St Mary’s Church, Westfield, and a foster parent for more than 40 children over many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leland J. Tinney in 2008 and by her son, James A. in 2006. She leaves 2 sons, Leland J. of Amston, CT and Gary A. of Westfield; 2 daughters, Mary “Marylou” of PA and Janet Fitzgerald of Montana; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A private service was held Tuesday morning at the Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main Street (Route 20). Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, both in Westfield.
