WESTFIELD: Eleanor Ruth (Knapp) LaMountain, 89, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at home. She was born in Charlotte, NC on January 1, 1933, to the late Harry and Alma Garner Knapp. She was a 1950 graduate of Westfield High School. She worked at Valley Bank, Bay Bank and Bank of America and retired in 1998. She was a lifetime member of Second Congregational Church in Westfield. She enjoyed knitting hats for St. Labre Indian School in Missouri.
Her first husband, Lester W. Densmore, died in 2018, her second husband, Robert P. LaMountain, died in 2015, her son, Mark L. Densmore, died in 1975 and her daughter, Betty J. Dudas, in 2012.
She leaves her sons Harry W. Densmore and his wife Senga of Westfield and Jo L. Densmore and his wife Bonnie of Montgomery. She also leaves 3 grandchildren Phillip and Mark Dudas and Katlyn Densmore, 3 great-grandchildren Kylie, Dakota, and Kane Dudas, son-in-law Gary Dudas and stepdaughter-in-law Diane LaMountain, sister-in-law Judy Knapp and Lester Densmore and his wife Than Van Densmore, 3 stepchildren Ann Marie Maxwell, Cheryl Soothoff and the late Robert LaMountain, Jr.
She was predeceased by her siblings David Knapp, Gloria Salopek and Dorothy Aponik.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 29th from 5-7 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The funeral will be held at the Second Congregational Church, 487 Western Avenue, Westfield at 11 am on Saturday, April 30th. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
