Southwick- Elizabeth Claire Bourassa “Liz”, passed away on September 26 2016, (1939-2016) at the age of 77. Known to family and friends as “Liz”, she was born in Tuckahoe, New York and was a resident of Southwick for 43 years. She was the loving daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Juliano of Agawam. Liz is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Delmore Bourassa of Southwick; her son and daughter in law, Joseph and Elizabeth Bourassa, of West Springfield; one brother, Anthony Carraturo of Florida; 3 sisters, Rosemary Richardson and Clair Lawrence, both of Feeding Hills, and Marie Woodward of Chattanooga Tennessee; one sister in law, Kathy Hamborg of West Springfield; three grand children, Joseph Bourassa Jr., Tiffany Peloquin and Briana Bourassa; one great granddaughter, Torri Peloquin; her loyal friend of 46 years, Richard Perrault; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Elizabeth was a dedicated volunteer at the Jewish Geriatric Nursing Home in Longmeadow for many years; and was known for her kindness and generosity. She was an avid supporter of the MSPCA; and her love for animals was evident to all who knew her. She was most happy spending time with her beloved family and friends and her adoring dog, Brandy.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM , on Friday September 30th, 2016 at the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick.
A 10:00AM Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 1, 2016 at Westfield Evangelical Free Church, 568 Southwick Road, Westfield . The service will be followed by a Christian burial at the New Cemetery, on College Highway, in Southwick . For those who prefer, memorial contributions in Elizabeth’s name may be made to the
