WYBEN – Eloise B. Adair, 91, (1926 – 2017) passed away peacefully on Monday. Eloise was born in Westfield on January 4, 1926 to the late Wallace and Mabel (Burnham) Hayden. She was a life long resident of Wyben for 88 years. She worked for the State Department of Hampshire Country for over 20 years before she retired. She was an avid antique collector and owned ABC Antiques in Wyben for over 30 years. Eloise was a member to the First Congregational Church of Westfield. She is survived by her children Steven Adair and his wife Carolyn of Springfield and Christine Gaugh and her husband Osborne of Southwick. She was the cherished grandmother to Michael Gaugh and his wife Jodie and Matthew Gaugh and his wife Katelyn, great grandmother to Alexander, Samuel, Lily, Jill, Jayson, Cody and James and many nieces and nephews. Eloise was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years Samuel Adair in 2014, and her three brothers Earl, Richard, and Robert Hayden. A memorial service and burial will take place in the spring at Middle Farms Cemetery in Westfield.
