WESTFIELD: Emilia “Millie” K. (Samborski) Oleksak, 102, died Monday April 7, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Westfield on March 12, 1913, to Andrew S. and Sophia K. (MadeJ) Oleksak. Millie was a 1931 graduate of Westfield High School and taught sewing and Tailoring at Westfield Trade School. She was also a receptionist and clerk at Western Mass Hospital and a communicant of St. Peters and St. Casimir’s Parish in Westfield. Millie was the Widow of Andrew S. Oleksak and was predeceased by her son Thomas A. Oleksak, five brothers Adolph, Benjamin, Edmund, Henry and Mitchell Sanborski, five sisters, Helen Bujnicki, Anastacia Sanborski, Sophie Sulewski, Clotylda Swaitek and Janina Carbonneau. She leaves a daughter-in-law, Mary A. (Durnan) Oleksak of Albany, NY and a sister Loretta Masciadrelli of Westfield and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Peters Church at 11 AM with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
