Montgomery – Ethel (Barnet) Birdsall, 77, of Montgomery, MA, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, December, 3, 2016 at the Palmer Health Care Center. She was born in Westfield to George and Jenny (Kaminski) Barnet. She was educated in the Westfield schools and worked for many years at the Digital Equipment Plant as well as Mestek. Inc. in Westfield retiring several years ago. Ethel enjoyed going hunting and fishing with her husband Bud, going for walks in the woods, eating out and playing with her adored cats, Olive and Oprah. She will be greatly missed by all. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Eugene “Bud” Birdsall, their son Scott Barnet and his wife Jeanine of Vancouver, Washington, grandchildren Annalyn Raven and her husband, Russel and Kenneth Barnet and his wife Shannon as well as two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Logan Raven. Ethel also leaves her loving brothers and sisters George (Linda) Barnet. Lyman (Anne) Barnet, and Thomas Barnet all of Westfield. Jean Cinq-Mars (Michael) of Springfield, Carole Arthur of Orlando, FL, and Georgiana Senecal of Ocoee, FL. She also leaves many dear nieces and nephews and a special niece Gina (Ritchie) Flynn of Clearfield, Utah. She was pre-deceased by her sister Geraldine Ritchie of Westfield in 1985. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 7th at 11 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held before the service from 10 am till 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ethel may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Firtionadams.com
