As the snow starts to melt and the sun gets stronger our thoughts turn to spring. The board of the Agawam Garden Club is actively planning some interesting programs, hands-on workshops, and the annual plant sale to be held May 18th. Board members include President Denise Carmody, Vice President Kathy Rose, Treasurer Terry Augusti, and Secretary Paula Figella. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from March- November at the Agawam Senior Center, 954 Main Street, Agawam. The club’s purpose is to bring together those interested in expanding and sharing their horticultural knowledge and experience in a casual setting. It promotes interest in gardening, floral and landscape design, conservation, and assist in civic beautification. All meetings are open to the public and not restricted to Agawam residents.
