The Huntington Council on Aging will be hosting a Bird Communication Program presented by Lois Kiraly and a Summer Birthday Celebration on Thursday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Stanton Hall. Participants will learn about if birds are born with their songs or if they have to learn them; how birds can sing more than one pitch at a time; how a Mockingbird can sing so many songs so quickly and how many; what birds are talking about; how birds can “fool” other birds with their calls and why they do that; and if they understand “bird to human talk.” The public is welcome to attend and learn some of the common bird songs that visit local yards and feeders.
