Grandparents Day Craft at Southwick Public Library: Kids can make a craft for their grandmother or grandfather when they visit Southwick Public library anytime from September 4-7. Makerspace Science Lab: If you haven’t tried Makerspace for kids in grades 3-6 at Southwick Public Library you are in for a treat. Each month we explore a scientific or artistic activity. We have made crystals, slime, tie dye and more. This month we will meet on Monday, September 9 at 3:00 p.m. to challenge you to a contest using air pressure to move Skittles! International Dot Day Fun: Celebrate “Dot Day” with us on Tuesday September 10 at Southwick Public Library. This day is specially set aside around the world to tap into your creativity! We will start at 10:30 a.m. with our weekly Storytime by reading The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. All day long, kids of all ages can follow the dots to find objects on our Scavenger Hunt. Sit down and do a dot-to-dot picture. Then make a Kandinsky circle to hang in the Children’s Room. Read books about dots! Wear a polka dot shirt, dress or pants. Join in the fun as we celebrate Dot Day.

Tuesday Storytime: Southwick Public Library’s Tuesday Storytime for children ages 2-5 years old will meet in the Children’s Room on September 10, 17 & 24 at 10:30 a.m. Listen to stories. LEGO Clubs Meet in September: LEGO Club for kids in grades 3-6 will meet on Thursday, September 12 at 3:00 p.m. Grades K-2 LEGO kids will meet on Wednesday, September 18 at 3:30 p.m. We are looking forward to seeing your cool creations! Talk-Like-a-Pirate Day: Ahoy Mateys! Stop in to Southwick Public Library on Thursday, September 19 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. for Pirate Day! Wear a Pirate costume! Knock out the ships with Armada Bowling. Design your own pirate guy/girl. Find out your own unique pirate name. Dig for treasure in our sand table.
