Listen to Stories While You Drive: Did you know that Southwick Public Library offers stories on CD and books with a built-in reader device? In the Children’s Room CD kits can be found hanging on a circular rack by the Picture Books. We also have chapter books in CD form on the carousel-type shelves inside the entrance to the Children’s Room. Kids can check out the book and CDs with the same title to help with reading comprehension or just to enjoy while they travel to their afterschool activities. We also have a collection of VOX Books which includes a device inside the front cover which will “read” the story aloud as the child turns the pages. VOX chargers are also available for checkout. Many adults have taken advantage of listening to stories on CD while driving. Now children can also enjoy a variety of choices in audio offerings from Southwick Public Library.
