To enhance the holiday spirit throughout the community, Gateway’s middle and high school bands and choirs are performing holiday favorites over two winter concerts. The students’ dedication and practice will make for a great performance for all attendees.

The Middle School Winter Concert will be held on Tuesday, Dec 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Gateway Performing Arts Center. Performers include the 5th grade band, 6th grade band, grade 7/8 band, middle school jazz band and middle school choir. Band directors Beth Guertin and Renee Mosher and choir director Jerilyn Beauregard will conduct. There will be a poinsettia raffle and a baked goods and coffee sale during the concert. Admission is free and open to the public.

On Thursday, Dec 13, the high school musicians take the stage at 6:30 p.m. in the GPAC. Performing groups include the Show Choir, Concert Choir, Concert Band and Jazz Band. Admission is $2 or $1 with a canned good for the Huntington Food Pantry. Intermission will include a blanket raffle for the bands and the start of a raffle for a beautiful fire pit, build by the school’s welding department. (Proceeds from the fire pit raffle will be split between the band and welding department). Instrumental music director Beth Guertin and Choral Director Jerilyn Beauregard will conduct the high school concert.
