Orders are now being taken for fresh, homemade pies which will be ready for the holiday season. Apple, pumpkin, and tomato mincemeat (homemade) pies will be available.

The sale is being organized and led by Morgan O’Connor, an Ambassador Girl Scout from Westfield Troop 40222, to support her Girl Scout Gold Award project, which includes purchasing new water fountains for Westfield Technical Academy. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest honor that can be earned in Girl Scouting. Morgan’s project involves sharing information about the health benefits of water and about the detrimental impact of disposable water bottles. The new water fountains will have improved filtering and provide a water bottle re-filling feature.

Pie orders will be taken until November 11th, and frozen pies will be ready for pick up on November 18 from noon to 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church on Holyoke Rd. Pies are priced at $15 each. Payment must be received in full with each order and checks can be made out to GSCWM-Troop 40222 and mailed to the church, or to GSCWM-Troop 40222, P.O.
