Learn to Play Ukulele at a Ukulele Workshop
“Have Fun and Learn” will be the theme at a free Ukulele Workshop at the Russell Public Library (162 Main St. in Russell) on Saturday, January 11, from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Workshop leader Dave Maloof of MusicPlusComedy.com will bring 20 ukuleles for participants to use, and anyone who already has a ukulele can bring it along. Workshop participants will learn to play the ukulele, an instrument that is versatile, portable, inexpensive, easy to learn, and a ton of fun. The instrument’s history, parts and different sizes and tunings will be introduced, but most of the Workshop will be learning how to form and strum chords, followed by singing and strumming to songs including pop, children’s, rock ’n’ roll, and more.
Space is limited, but you can reserve a spot by contacting the Library at 413-862-6221 or [email protected]
