Montgomery Historical Annual Roast Pork Supper

April 27, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Montgomery Historical will host their annual Roast Pork Supper on Saturday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall. In addition to the roast pork, the menu will feature mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables in season, home-made applesauce, beverages, and home-made dessert — a bargain at just $10 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 and under. Contact Laura at 862-8095 or Julie at 862-4539 to make reservations or with any questions.

The program following the meal will feature a documentary “Kim Howes: Son of Florence” — the story of the preservation of the vast collection of archival photos taken throughout western Massachusetts by the Howes brothers of Ashfield, MA, in the late 1800’s. The Ashfield Historical Society has a collection of these photos, taken by the Howes brothers, and we’re hoping to include a display of some taken in our area. The documentary was produced by Dr. James Ault of Northampton as part of a project recording pockets of history in Northampton.
