Prospeakers Toastmasters invites the public to its open house on Thursday, November 21, 5:30 pm – 7:15 pm at the Westfield Athenaeum, Lang Auditorium, 6 Elm Street, Westfield. After a brief meet-and-greet period, Club President, John Michaliszyn, will open the meeting with the Toastmasters mission statement. Members and guests will enjoy a regular Toastmasters meeting that will include prepared speeches, evaluations, and Table Topics™ (impromptu speeches). Members will share their experience in Toastmasters and how the club has helped them achieve their personal and professional goals. This event is free to guests.

Club Vice President Public Relations, Erica Mulinare, will be the Table Topics master. “The Table Topics section is a really fun part of the meeting,” says Mulinare. “This is where guests and members are given the opportunity to speak for one to two minutes on an impromptu question or topic. It’s good practice to develop your ability to organize your thoughts quickly and deliver a speech.”
