On Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m., the Westfield Senior Center Great Room will explode with talent as the full ensemble of the Small Planet Dancers present ‘The Greatest Generation: A Tribute to the Heroes of World War II.’ This 90-minute program commemorates the history of the war through dance routines set to Big Band music, with the dancers performing in authentic military and 1940s dress. Included are readings about the Tuskegee Airmen, the Navajo Code Talkers, and the 442 Infantry. Familiar songs of the era will be sung and accompanied on the piano. All Veterans are the guests of honor for their faithful service to our country. This event is family friendly, open to the public, and free of charge. The Westfield Senior Center is located at 45 Noble Street. This entertaining Sunday afternoon program is made possible by a grant from the Westfield Cultural Council.
