Please join Mayor Brian P. Sullivan and The Friends of the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail as they have a bike ride through town in celebration of the10thAnnual Bike Ride on Monday, May 13 at 5:30 p.m. in celebration of Bike Week. The Friends of the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail coordinate this event with the Mayor’s office each year to celebrate Bike Week. There are few other items that are happening before and right after the bike ride. Please see the details listed below. There will be demonstrations on the “How To’s” of loading and unloading bikes on the PVTA Bus which will take place at 4:30 p.m. The ride will start from City Hall parking lot at 5:30 p.m. and begin the ride taking a left onto Court Street and right onto Broad Street, to the Big Y entrance of the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail and to the exit ramp at the Stop & Shop, down onto Elm Street with police escort continuing down to the Columbia Greenway North Section. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place celebrating the completion of The Columbia Greenway North Bridge. Everyone is welcome!
