Hospice 101: Dispelling the Myths of Hospice Care. Wednesday, December 5th from 6-8pm. In this workshop we will discuss the history of hospice and hospice philosophy, dispel some common myths of hospice care, and look at who is eligible for hospice care. It can be a delicate and difficult topic to discuss, but knowing the options for you and your loved ones is vital. Presented by Holyoke VNA, The Council on Aging, and WSPL. This program is free, but space is limited. Registration is required.

Homecare 101 – with Homewatch CareGivers. Wednesday, December 12th from 6-8pm. As we age, we all want to manage and maintain our personal independence for as long as possible. In Homecare 101 we’ll discuss how to age at home, how to pay for it, and what to look for when choosing the right solutions for your needs. Join Lisa Pernice from Homewatch CareGivers, and Madeline Presz RN, BSN, CHPN, from Spectrum Home Health and Hospice, as they help us navigate through the many options available. Presented by The West Springfield Council on Aging, and WSPL. This program is free, but space is limited. Registration is required.
