Upcoming March Programs at WSPL

March 19, 2019 @ 8:00 am - April 27, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

Ghostology 101 – with Agawam Paranormal, Tuesday, March 19th from 6:30-8:30PM. What is the difference between a ghost and a spirit? What are the different types of hauntings? What is the history of paranormal investigations? What is the best piece of equipment to have on a paranormal investigation? This is the first in a series of programs that are designed to entertain and educate the public about the world of paranormal investigation. This segment covers basic terminology, equipment, EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena), spirit photography and video, as well as “ghost hunting” skills and suggestions. Members of the Agawam Paranormal team will be available for questions.

Music Sandwiched In – with Lexi Weege, Saturday, March 30th from 12:00-1:00PM. Lexi Weege’s powerhouse vocals perfectly complement her passion for jazzy melodies and sassy lyrics. Blending traditional blues roots with a Roaring Twenties-inspired sensibility, her music is fearless, shameless, and decadent. She is constantly creating and touring, with her honesty and authenticity on display in every show. She has released a full-length album and a 7” record on her own, and another album as the frontwoman for Weege & the Wondertwins. Music Sandwiched In is the West Springfield Public Library’s annual lunchtime concert series. The series is sponsored by the Friends of Library and the Library staff, and is intended to appeal to and reflect the diversity of the West Side community.

Upcoming performances: April 13th – Laurie Festa – Laurie Festa specializes in eclectic performances combining classic songs from jazz, country, rock, and Broadway. April 27th – Jimmy Mazz – Jimmy takes you on a chronological ride through all the great music of the 1950s, from Bing Crosby and Perry Como to Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley!

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch or a snack to enjoy during the performance. These performances are free and open to the public. The West Springfield Public Library is located at 200 Park Street. For more information on these programs call: 413-736-4561 ext. 3, or stop by the Library’s Adult Services Desk.
