Music Sandwiched In – with Orlen & Gabriel, Saturday, March 16th from 12:00-1:00PM. Michael Orlen’s roots are in the Boston music scene of the late sixties and early seventies. He now lives in Western MA and has performed at coffee houses and festivals throughout New England. He draws on an extensive knowledge of 20th century folk, blues, and ragtime to choose songs that resonate in today’s world. He is joined by his longtime music and life partner Christine (Gabriel) Orlen and dobro accompanist Dennis Avery. Music Sandwiched In is the West Springfield Public Library’s annual lunchtime concert series. The series is sponsored by the Friends of Library and the Library staff, and is intended to appeal to and reflect the diversity of the West Side community.

April 13th – Laurie Festa – Laurie Festa specializes in eclectic performances combining classic songs from jazz, country, rock, and Broadway.

April 27th – Jimmy Mazz – Jimmy takes you on a chronological ride through all the great music of the 1950s, from Bing Crosby and Perry Como to Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley!

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch or a snack to enjoy during the performance. These performances are free and open to the public.
