DESCRIPTION:The Red Cross Club at Gateway Regional High School will hold a Blood Drive in the Gateway High school gymnasium on Tuesday\, November 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\, where students\, staff and community members can donate their blood for a great cause. Students aged 16 may donate\, but must get a parent’s consent; donors 17 years or older do not need consent. The Red Cross Club will be giving T-shirts to donors at Gateway’s Blood Drive\, while supplies last. Sign-ups will be held in the cafeteria during lunch. You may also call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code GRHS 12 to schedule an appointment. Drop-ins are also welcome. \nBlood and plasma are routinely needed to replace blood lost due to traumatic injuries\, burns and/or surgical procedures. There are also many chronic medical conditions\, such as cancer\, lymphoma and sickle cell disease\, which require transfusions. One pint of blood can save up to three lives. Giving blood not only saves lives\, but qualifies our Red Cross Club members for scholarship money. Visit RedCrossBlood.org to learn more about giving blood. You may also save time by using the RapidPass (on that website) to complete required reading and health history questions on the day of your appointment. The upcoming blood drive at Gateway is the perfect opportunity to help others. This will be the first drive of the year.

These gift cards are the same ones you buy at restaurants and stores and there are no expiration dates. Gift card wrappers are also available. American Express\, Discover and VISA gift cards are available with no activation fees. There are over 100 area stores and restaurants to choose from on our order form. However\, gift cards can be purchased for stores and restaurants across the United States and for different airlines\, hotels\, cruise lines\, rental car agencies\, gas stations\, etc. If a gift card you want is not on the order form\, please call or email me because I can order it if it is available. \nOrder forms can be picked up in the Church or at the Parish Office. SUMMARY:Local Tribute Artists Perform to Benefit Breast Cancer Unit
DESCRIPTION:On November 3th\, Crestview Country Club in Agawam\, Ma will play host to a unique music event and dinner featuring five of the region’s favorite tribute acts. THE GREAT PRETENDERS will be emceed by Jimmy Mazz with the proceeds from the show to benefit the patients of Mercy Medical Center Breast Cancer Unit. \nThis event first began in 2016\, when The Great Pretenders performed and donated $12\,000 directly to the patients of Mercy’s Breast Cancer Unit. 2016 was even more successful with a donation of $16\,000. The donations go to patient needs like buying their groceries\, paying the rent or bills they may be behind on\, even purchasing wigs\, which are not normally covered by insurance. \nAppearing will be\, in no particular order\, Kenny LaBelle (Neil Diamond)\, Steve Kareta (Jimmy Buffet)\, Ben Ashley (Buddy Holly)\, Rick Larrimore (Rod Stewart)\, and Sandra LaCaresse (Stevie Nicks.) All of the performers will be accompanied by live music courtesy of The Diamond Collection. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.\, dinner is at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 7:300 pm. There will be auctions and raffles. Admission is $80 pp and includes dinner and reserved seating. For tickets\, call 413-977-3019.

SUMMARY:Southwick Lions to host Comedy Night Fund Raiser
DESCRIPTION:A standup comedy night will be held on Saturday November 3\, 2018 at the Southwick Rec Center\, 61 Powder Mill Road\, featuring three comedians from Funny Money Comedy. The two comics that will headline and feature are Nonye Brown-West and Billy Winn. \nDoors will open at 6:00 PM with a cash bar\, food\, and raffle. Food will be served at 6:30 and the show will begin at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling Lion Cliff at 413-569-3447. Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door. \nDonations received by the Southwick Lions Club are returned to the community in the form of scholarships\, aid due to financial constraints to those in need of glasses or hearing aids\, and financing research for sight\, hearing\, and diabetes. Funding has also been provided to the local food pantry\, schools\, police department\, fire department\, and to local and national catastrophes. \nThe Southwick Lions Club thanks you for all your past support.
