SOUTHWICK – The Conservation Commission met last night and approved a request to upgrade a farm access road on College Highway.
The property at 286 and 292 College Highway is owned by Fred Arnold who attended the meeting with John Goddard of R. Levesque Associates.
The road is used by Arnold on his farm but he wants to improve the road so emergency vehicles can pass.
“I have some tobacco barns there and want to be able to get fire trucks there,” Arnold said.
Goddard said there are some flood plain concerns and other potential issues that will be addressed.
During the Monday night meeting, the Commission issued an enforcement order for 237 Hillside Road and discussed a stormwater update for the American Legion.
