WESTFIELD – There have been no deaths at the Westfield Walmart this week.
To dispel rumors being spread by word of mouth and on social media, no one died at Walmart due to a heroin overdose.
On November 24 at 8:27 p.m. police received a call for a medical emergency at Walmart, located at 141 Springfield Road.
An employee told police that a man was “down in an aisle.” The man was unconscious and having difficulty breathing, according to police logs.
A second subject was found unconscious but breathing in a bathroom.
Neither party had any identification on them though a cell phone was found on one of the men, according to police logs.
Both parties were transported to Baystate Noble Hospital.
According to Westfield Police Capt. Michael McCabe both subjects were alive when taken to the hospital.
