Florence E. Cataw

WESTFIELD:  Florence E. (Carey) Cataw, 91, died on Sunday, August 23rRosed at
Heritage Hall in Agawam. She was born in Holyoke on July 3, 1924 and was
the daughter of Regenald S. Carey Sr. and Florence E. (Canney) Carey. She
grew up in South Hadley and has resided in Westfield for the past 40 years.
She was a member of the former First Congregational Church in S. Hadley and
most recently, Center Congregational Church in S. Hadley. Florence was
employed as a logistics clerk for 30 years by A&P Foods She was a member of
the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary Posts. Florence loved spending time
in Florida and walks on the beach. She will be sadly missed by her
children, Linda Hoynoski and her husband Chet of Westfield, Robert Duffy
and his wife Cheryl of Westfield, William Duffy and his wife Joan of S.
Hadley, Arthur C. Cataw and his wife Joyce of Lady Lake, FL and Elisabeth
Fugiel of Westfield along with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, William Duffy
and her second husband, Arthur F. Cataw and her brothers Regenald Carey Jr.
and Warren Carey. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 27th at
10:00 a.m. at Center Church in South Hadley, please meet directly at the
church. Burial is private. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
