Frances L. Fowler

WESTFIELD – Frances L. Fowler, (1937 – 2015) 78, a retired Customer Service Representative for over forty years for Decorated Products Company in Westfield, entered into eternal rest on March 17th. Born in Westfield, MA on March 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George W. Fowler, Jr. and Marjorie A. (Woods) Fowler. She lived in Westfield for over seventeen years coming from Chester. She was a 1955 graduate of Chester High School. She was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Chester, where she served as the Historian for the church. Frances was a member of the Girls 4-H and the Highland Grange. She was a gentle soft spoken women who was always willing to help her neighbors. The church coffee hour will sadly miss her incredible egg salad sandwiches. She leaves her special friends, Judy of Chester, Sue of Chester, Carol from Florida and Astra of Westfield and two cousins, Robert Phillips of Becket and James Phillips of Connecticut; her loving cats Mama Cat, Min Min, Ally, Mary and Jake and her many friends of Chester and Hampden Village. A Celebration of Life will be held at the 1st Congregational Church on Skyline Trail in Chester on Saturday, April 11that 2:00 pm. Burial will be held in the spring in Norwich Bridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Westfield Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Road, Westfield, MA 01085 or to the 1st Congregational Church of Chester, 334 Skyline Trail, Chester, MA 01011. O’Brien Hilltown Funeral Home in Huntington is in charge of the arrangements.
